CIT - God commands the people of Israel to not make any image for Worship

Proposition - God commands His people to worship Him rightly.
Question:

INTRODUCTION:
Read the Commandment.
You shall not make a carved or a graven image.
What does that mean? Is there really any difference between the first and second commandment?
The Catholic Church does not separate these verses from the first commandment. They consider them all one commandment. They divide the final commandment into wo to make it come out to 10.
However, these are 2 different commandments.
To help us understand the difference, let's move forward in time 40 days.
Go to Exodus 32 and tell the story.

They broke the second commandment. They images Aaron made were intended to represent God.
To make any image of God is to break this commandment.
But we will see that making a false image of God in any fashion is to break this commandment.

The first commandment has to with worshipping the right God. The second deals with worshipping the right God the right way.
In fact, Worshipping God the right is just as important as worshipping the right God.

THE COMMAND: MAKE NO GRAVEN IMAGES
You shall not make for yourself - Means to fashion or shape something. Either stone or wood.
A carved image - An image of God.
What is prohibited is for God's people to make an image of God for the purpose of Worship. To do so is a sin. In fact, any false image of God, even holding a false understanding of who God is, is condemned by this commandment.

Why is God so insistent that His people have no images of Him?
THEY PRESENT A FALSE IMAGE OF GOD -
Vs. 4 - an exhaustive command. Nothing in heaven, nothing on the earth, and nothing in the sea shall be used to represent Me.
Why? Because God is Invisible.
Deut. 4:15 - You saw no manner of being.
