CIT - God commands the people of Israel not to steal.

INTRODUCTION: The internet is full of dumb criminal stories, here are few I found.
ILLUS: ''A man and his girlfriend were robbing a convenience store. While waiting for her boyfriend to finish getting the money, the woman noticed a contest entry form. Thinking it would be cool to win, she filled out the form, complete with her name, address, and phone number. A few hours later the police were at the couple's house to arrest them.''

''A man went into a drug store and announced his intentions to commit robbery. He pulled a Hefty Bag over his face to conceal his identity. He did not, however, cut eyeholes in the mask and was tackled by a brave customer.''

This is my favorite - Another I read was about a man who burst through the doors of a building and yelled, ''This is a hold up.'' Though he had meant to rob the post office next door, the man had burst into his local police station.

As we continue our study of the Ten Commandments, today we look at the 8th commandment that says, ''Thou shalt not steal.'' This is a commandment that not only has a word for the Bonnie and Clyde's of the world, but for each of us.

We will study this command first by finding God's principles of ownership - There is a right way and wrong way to get stuff. Then we will look closely at some of the wrong ways of getting things - stealing. Finally, we will close by looking at couple of biblical reasons why God gives us possessions in the first place.

THE PRINCIPLES OF OWNERSHIP -
