Choices are part of life. You can't make it through a single day without making choices. Your alarm clock goes off. You have a choice to make. Do I get out of bed immediately or abuse the snooze button for the next ½ hour? You get out of bed, take a shower, shave your face if you are a dude or put on your face if you are a ''dudette,'' and then you look into your closet and decide what you are going to wear for the day.

From the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed (even that is a choice) there are decisions to be made. While our days are filled with decisions - our lives are filled with decisions - we know that not all choices/decisions are equally as important/weighty. What I'm going to have for breakfast today is not nearly as important as whether or not to buy a new car and what kind to buy. What Netflix show I want to binge-watch next is not nearly as important as if I am going to marry, who I am going to marry or what career I am going to pursue for the rest of my life.

As big as those decisions are, who to marry, what career to pursue and where we live, the most important choices and decisions we make in this life will be, tied to this one question, ''Will I live for myself or will I live for God? Will I trust God and live life His way or will I choose to live life my way, on my terms? Will I surrender my life to the Lord, or will I reject His ownership and authority over my life?''

Those are the questions that really matter. The answer to those questions will affect how we approach life and answer all of life's other questions! There are always choices to make.
