A Tradition Worth Keeping (4 of 4)
Series: Imagine

1 Chronicles 29
I. Introduction
Welcome to Mission Hills. This is a big weekend, because today is the conclusion of our Imagine series where we've been peeking through the doors at our future as a church and talking about what it looks like to get ready to increase our local, regional and global Impact for God's Kingdom.
I feel like I need to say that if this is your first time here, then you should know that there are some elements of our service today that are unusual. I'm not embarrassed by them, and actually, you might find that you get a great picture of who we are as a church by being here today, but I do want you to know that this series - and today especially - is a little different, so make sure you come back again soon so you can also see a more typical service.
One of our core values as a church is that we are Bible-driven. That means we don't make plans and then attach Bible verses to them. We are driven to our plans and strategies by what God says to us in the Bible. If you've been here for the whole Imagine series, then you've seen how every facet of what we're looking to do is driven by biblical truth, from our understanding of the purpose of the local church to our belief that God calls us to prepare for Him to do more in and through us.
And today, as we close out the Imagine series and give everyone who calls Mission Hills their church home a chance to say ''I'm in'' to what God is leading us to do here, I want to show you that even the way we've structured our ''commitment weekend'' is driven by biblical principles. I'd love for you to grab a Bible and turn with me to 1 Chronicles 29.
