James 1:1-12
Intro/Attention
Last Sunday, I began a study through the book of James. I'm calling this study, When Faith Works. James is very interested in how our faith develops into action. He says that we can ''show'' our faith by our works. He never wants us to think that our works bring about salvation; instead he wants us to believe that our salvation leads to good works.
Last week, we looked at James 1:1-4 as an introduction to our study. Today, we're going to zoom out a little bit and study James 1:1-12 as we think about this subject, From Trouble To Triumph. READ TEXT

Poor Chippie never knew what hit him. A few days after the trauma, the reporter who'd initially written about the event contacted Chippie's owner to see how the bird was recovering. ''Well,'' she replied, ''Chippie doesn't sing much anymore- he just sits and stares.'' I guess not. Sucked in, washed up and blown over? That's enough to steal the son ...
