Exodus 25.8; 27.9a,16
Now as we continue our study of THE TABERNACLE LIFE, my prayer for you is that you'd follow the example of the believers at Thessalonica in 1 Thessalonians 2.13 whom Paul thanked God for because, ''they received the Word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.''
They not only received the Word of God, they welcomed the word of God like welcoming someone into the family. So before we open God's word to read it, our prayer should be, ''Lord, I welcome your word into my life today as I would welcome someone into my family, now speak to me;'' and when we come to worship and it's time for the preaching of God's Word, our prayer should be, ''Lord, we welcome your word into our church family today, now speak to us.''
May I ask you a personal question? Are you living the Tabernacle Life? Do you realize that's why Jesus came, died, and was buried and arose the third day; so that you may live The Tabernacle Life!
Jesus called it the ''abundant life'' in John 10.10, ''The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.'' Jesus didn't come for you to just have life, He came for you to have it more abundantly.
So, what is the ''abundant'' life? Well, the word translated ''abundant'' speaks of life ''over and above, more than is necessary; superior, extraordinary, surpassing, uncommon.'' Does that describe your life today: over and above, more than is necessary, superior, extraordinary, surpassing, uncommon?
*The abundant life is the saved life!
*The abundant life is the Spirit-filled life!
*The abundant life is the satisfied life!
*The abundant life is the secure life!
*The abundant life is the sanctifying life!
*The a ...
