I. Introduction

Welcome to Mission Hills, so glad to have you with us. Hey, who's ready for some powerful, life-changing truth God's Word today?

We're wrapping up our Boundless series today. For the past several weeks, we've been working our way through the book of Philippians, picking up pieces to what Paul calls the secret to being content in any and ever situation. Today we have one last piece and it's so simple, but so powerful.

One of the things that we've seen throughout this series is that looking for contentment in our circumstances is a recipe for misery. Right? Because even if you love your circumstances, there's a good chance - almost a certainty, really - that your circumstances will eventually change...and if the source of your contentment is your circumstances, then the moment they change...poof...there goes your contentment.

So we can't look to our circumstances for contentment...but the problem is that it's almost impossible to completely stop looking at our circumstances - it's really hard to not look at our circumstances - which is what makes the truth that we're going to discover today so powerful. Because what we're going to see today is that the secret to contentment in any situation isn't to stop looking at our circumstances entirely, but it's about the perspective that we take on our circumstances. It's about the way that we look at our circumstances. And the question is, what perspective should we take? In fact, just all just go ahead and ask ourselves this question: What perspective can I take on every situation that will allow me to be content in any situation? That's the truth we're going to discover today.
