All right, you're in Daniel, chapter 7 tonight. We're looking at this Terrifying Dream, An Everlasting Kingdom, part number two, in Daniel, chapter 7. Now, if you were not here last week, let me bring you back up to speed where we are. Then, we'll all move forward together tonight.

Last week, we began in verse 1 of Daniel, chapter 7, looking at this terrifying dream that Daniel experienced. If you make your way through Daniel, chapter 7, beginning in verse 1 down through verse 8, we have these beasts that come out of the sea. There is the lion. There is this lopsided bear. There's this leopard. There's this dreadful beast that's beyond description.
All of this corresponds back to the dream, I think, that Nebuchadnezzar had back in chapter 2. Nebuchadnezzar's vision - his dream about an image of gold and silver, and bronze, and iron, and clay - that was from man's point of view, showing what man can do through his hands and through his conquest, the power of the kingdoms of man. Daniel's vision of these four beasts is from God's point of view. Again, showing just the beastly nature of the kingdoms and governments, and the conquests of the kingdoms of men.

I like how H.L. Wilmington described chapter 7. I love this. If I had seen this before, you would've seen this title on this two part series, this two part sermon. H.L. Wilmington, in his ''Guide to the Bible''; he calls Daniel, chapter 7, he concludes it, Godless Kingdoms and the Kingdom of God. I like that. I will use that in the future. Godless Kingdoms and the Kingdom of God.
