As we continue in the Book of Galatians, I want to recap what we talked about previously.

Overview:
Galatians has been called the ''Magna Carta'' of the New Testament. (2 : a document constituting a fundamental guarantee of rights and privileges.)

It has been called by some scholars as one of the most important books of the Bible because of it's overall theme of liberty and freedom.

Paul is writing this letter to multiple churches in the area because some people were trying to add the Law of Moses to the Gospel.

The big idea last week was that some were influencing the churches to a
Jesus ''plus'' movement. Adding to the recipe.

Jesus, Grace + nothing=salvation or Jesus, Grace + Human Works=salvation

Ephesians 2:8-10 (ESV)
8For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
9not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Grace, and the concept of grace was so important to Paul that we find he uses the word ''grace'' 94 times in over 26 texts of his writings!

Grace is the antidote to legalism.

This morning I want to teach on three very important principles.

- Please God Only
- It's Supernatural
- Don't live in the rearview mirror

If you can go away this morning and honestly say I've got these now, I believe your life can be totally transformed!

Let's pick it up it up in verse 10.

Galatians 1:10 (NASB95)
10For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.

Paul was accused of trying to please people and so he is setting the record straight.

The big key here is the struggle between pleasing God or pleasing man!

Paul straight up is saying if he was ''still trying to please men, he would not be a bond-servant of Christ''!
