Galatians 6:1-4

We are continuing on with our series in Galatians.

Galatians 6:1-4 (NASB95)
1Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted.
2Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.
3For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
4But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another.

I think restoration is one of the most difficult aspects of life, not just church life, but in any situation. Families hurt families, friends betray friends, and trust is shattered and broken on unending fronts.

And it's not just trivial ''he hurt my feelings'' things either. People have been abused, manipulated, and really hurt in some situations. Yet, there is an expectation and mandate Biblically that we forgive.
Jesus said if we do not forgive, we will not be forgiven! So, how do we walk through these incredibly difficult and incredibly real situations?

The devil is very good at separation and sowing mistrust. It all started in the Garden with the relationship between Adam and God.

We have a ''fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me'' attitude.

We trust slowly. And rebuilding trust with those who have hurt us can be a difficult prospect!

This is where restoration comes in.
