Introduction
How does a prophet who wrote a book 2,500 years ago speak to us during of a global pandemic? That is what we'll be talking about today.

Current Situation
1. Currently, we are facing a pandemic that has swept over the world in less than 3 months. This respiratory illness, COVID-19, has caused great distress, anxiety, unrest, fear and more in a predominantly unsuspecting world. We saw the reports in early January and our hearts went out. But very few people had the foresight that we would be experiencing the far-reaching effects of this virus.

2. On March 1, 2020, there were only 30 reported cases of COVID-19 in the US. As of today, March 26, 2020, just a little over 3 weeks later, the US has over 85,000 reported cases to the CDC.

3. Globally, there are over 500,000 confirmed cases to the World Health Organization. And that's just confirmed through testing, and reported. Much less the number who have not been tested and thus not reported.

4. Sometimes when we go through difficult seasons, we wonder if anyone knows what we are going through. We feel alone. We feel as though no one can relate. Let me assure you, most of the time when you feel that way, you are not alone. Others can definitely relate. In this situation, however, everyone around the world can relate.

5. I was watching Jimmy Fallon the other night when he interviewed an artist who lives in Columbia. Listening to him talk about being quarantined and how life is different was just staggering to me. This is global. We are all feeling the effects of this virus. 

6. We are all, globally, finding ourselves in a situation that we have not experienced before. And we find ourselves asking, ''What's going on? Will this directly impact me? Will it impact someone I know? Will things ever get back to normal? Will we go back to church again? God? Hello? God. Are you there? Why won't you step up? ...
