We are starting a new sermon series called PREPARE. We started the year off well. We prayed and fasted and sought the Lord for the direction of our personal lives, for our families, for our community and for our Nation. We are not about to stop praying. No church should ever stop praying. Prayer is the very lifeline of the church. It is like the heart receiving and pumping blood to every part of the Body. Prayer connects us to the voice of the Holy Spirit, so we know how we are to move forward as a church. We will continue Wednesday night Corporate Prayer into February. There has been so much good that has come from people taking the time to connect with God and intercede for each other and our community. We said that February would be VISION month, but we felt we needed another month to prepare us for Vision month. Now is the time that we need to act on making the changes in our lives that God has spoken to us in prayer in order that we might be prepared to fulfill the vision God has for our lives and our church!
Luke 3:3 And he went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins, 4 as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: ''The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.
The message of John the Baptist was one of repentance, to turn away from sin and be cleansed in the waters of baptism. As we have come through this past 21 days of prayer and fasting, one of the things we experience is the conviction of the Holy Spirit over certain areas of our lives. Turning to the Lord for forgiveness is the first step and watch what God does. He positions you in the right direction, cleanses you and makes you an overcomer!
