Today we are in Daniel 5 and we are going to get a picture of the unshakable judgment of God. - Did you know the God of the Bible is a holy and just God? - Daniel 5 puts this on full display. God is the Ultimate Judge and will judge the world in righteousness... Daniel 5 gives us a picture of God's just judgment. It shows us God is not a God to be trifled with. It gives us a picture of a temporal judgment God makes upon a king and a nation... and it reminds us of God's ultimate judgment and the fact that God is sovereign over the affairs of men and will judge us.
This chapter... this message... it's not a pep talk. - It's a reminder that a holy God sees our lives, our actions, our attitudes and we must answer to Him.

If you don' have those things... imagine with me if God were to address you in some public way... what do you think He'd say? Would you wish you could block it? Hide it? Need to approve it before others see it? Would it hijack your own narrative of your life and what you are leading others to think about you? What do you think?
In this chapter... God literally writes His judgment of an individual ... and really a nation.... on a wall for all to see. He interrupts and lets all of Babylon know exactly what He's thinking. He delivers to them terrifying news, publicly for all to see.
It's a reminder for us that God is the holy and just judge of the universe. He knows all things... and all must give an account to Him.
