James 5:7-20
So here we are. After 12 weeks of studying James - it looks like most of us have actually survived. Yes, our toes have been stepped on a few times - but hopefully our spiritual lives have been turned right-side up.
In case you've missed some things along the way, James is a letter to churchgoers differentiating b/w authentic and artificial faith. Through a series of pop quizzes, James has confronted us to help us identify if we have a true saving faith or simply a religious leaning that misses God. If you turn to your notes, you'll see that I've provided a sample of this quiz James offers. I hope you'll take the time to work this quiz to pinpoint where you are in this faith journey.
As James concludes his letter, he offers (5) encouragements to the church to help them thru their tribulations - calling them to be prepared, patient, precise, prayerful and passionate.
