The Christian life is about KNOWING God, HEARING His voice - and OBEYING His leading.
When I speak of KNOWING God - I'm referring to knowing Him as Savior in salvation and growing in intimacy w/ Him as your Lord.
In HEARING God - I'm referring to cultivating a listening ear that is able to hear and distinguish God's voice in your everyday life so you can follow His leading.
In OBEYING God - I'm referring to a willing and responsive spirit to God's personal leading in your life.
Today I want to focus on the idea of hearing God. I believe the one critical point to understanding and experiencing God is knowing clearly when He is speaking. (WHFBC Retreat)

At the core of one's followship of God (trust in God) is a clear understanding of how we choose to live each day.
1. I don't care what you think I'm doing life my way.
2. Here are my plans (what I'm doing) will you bless it.
3. What is your will - I will be obedient.
The idea of God speaking shouldn't seem too mystical to us. Throughout Scripture there are countless stories of God frequently speaking to His people. From Adam in Genesis to John in Revelation, God not only spoke, but spoke clearly to anyone who would listen. Thankfully, the same God who spoke in the pages of our Bible is still speaking today - and He wants us to personally know His will.
If we're going to learn to listen for God, then we need to come to grips w/ the reality THAT God speaks and then we can begin to gain some understanding of HOW He speaks.
In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact ...
