1 Corinthians 6:12-20
We will see in this text that having a glorious body doesn't have anything to do with size or shape. It has nothing to do with how much you can LIFT or how much you can LOSE. Paul wants us to know that we should use our physical bodies to bring glory to the Lord Jesus, the One to whom all glory belongs.
The general flow of chapters 5-6 is a rebuke from the Apostle Paul. The Corinthians seem to be of the impression that because they are saved, they can live any way they want to live.
Corinth was a wicked place, like a modern-day San Francisco, New Orleans, or Las Vegas. As people were being saved out of that culture, they were bringing a lot of that ''baggage'' into their Christianity. And much of that ''baggage'' dealt with sexual sin and a misuse of the body.
It seems that many of the Corinthian members believed there were no boundaries on what they could do with their bodies. With that as a backdrop, Paul teaches 3 central truths regarding what we can and cannot do with our physical bodies.

But in its context, whatever else it may mean, we know what it does NOT mean. Based on the preceding verses, he CLEARLY does not mean he can do whatever he pleases and be r ...
