1 Corinthians 15:3a
Even though all of the Bible is equally inspired, some chapters of the Bible seem to stand as great pillars that support the entire book. 1 Corinthians 15 is such a chapter.
As I mentioned last week, for the next several lessons we are going to slow down and drill down into this chapter and study the greatest truth that ever came from the heart of God to the ear of man. Namely, that Jesus lived, died, was buried, and has been bodily raised from the dead.
Although I've averaged about 2-3 sermons per chapter up to this point, today we are going to look at ONE HALF of ONE VERSE but I think you'll see there is a lot of material in these few words.
Today's lesson in this series compels us to ask a few questions:
What is the most important thing we can do as a church?
What is the most important thing I can do as a pastor?
What's the most important thing you can do as a Christian?
If you're not saved, what is the most important thing you can do today?
I asked my kids earlier in the week if they thought I could preach 42 minutes on these 13 words. One of my kids said, ''No sir, you can't preach 42 minutes on that. It'll be at least 45 minutes.''
Well, what Paul describes here is this little snippet of a verse, describes what he preached in Corinth for 18 MONTHS. So maybe 45 minutes won't seem so long after all!

When Paul went to the city of Corinth he went in order to preach.
A. It was shared through preaching (For I delivered)
The word ''delivered'' has a number of meanings.
Deliver a baby...a speech...a message...a package
On December 19, 2018, a driver for an independent delivery service in New Jersey was delivering packages for Amazon. Unfortunately for him, he would deliver the Amazon package but steal the packages left by other carriers. He was arrested in New Jersey and ...
