The Conversion of Saul of Tarsus
Mike Stone
Acts 9:1-22
One of the most incredible services we have ever had was a testimony service. But unlike many such services, this service was specific to salvation testimonies. People stood spontaneously to simply testify to the ''when and where'' of their salvation.
For example, someone stood and said, ''Vacation Bible School, 3rd grade, Red Oak Baptist Church.'' Someone else said, ''Tuesday night of Fall Revival, 1974.'' Another said, ''In the break room at work about two years ago.''
Although the details varied and some gave more specifics than others, each had a common thread and a common theme. They testified to a time where they encountered the Living Lord Jesus and surrendered their life to His Lordship.
In Acts 9, we read about one of the most incredible and influential salvations of all church history. It's the salvation of the Apostle Paul whom we first meet as Saul of Tarsus. As we examine his life and his rebirth encounter, I want you to see that the salvation of this man is a picture of how God saves every sinner.

The conversion of Saul seemed to come out of nowhere.
When we first met him is also where we last saw him. Back at the close of Acts 7 the Bible says, ''And when they had driven Stephen out of the city they began stoning him; and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul...Saul was in hearty agreement w ...
