I Peter 4:7-11
7 The end of all things is at hand; therefore,
be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the
purpose of prayer.
8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one
another, because love covers a multitude of
sins.
9 Be hospitable to one another without
complaint.
10 As each one has received a special gift,
employ it in serving one another, as good
stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were,
the utterances of God; whoever serves, let him
do so as by the strength which God supplies; so
that in all things God may be glorified through
Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and
dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Someone has said that God initiated life in the beginning when He
said, "In the beginning was God... and God created the heaven and
the earth ... But God can also terminate the world. The Bible says
'hat one day He- is goina to do that. He spoke it into being, and the
Bible says He will one day speak again, nothing will stop it, He will
come and wrap it up.
Someone says, "Well, Peter must have made a mistake. He says the end
of all things is at hand, and it's been 2,000 years since he wrote
that. What happened?"
Some people think the writers of the Bible made a mistake, because

several talk about the end of all things being at hand, Paul talked
about the time being short, Jesus said, it was going to be soon.
Revelation 22 said He is coming soon. Some think they just got
excited and they were wrong. No, that's not what that means. I'll
tell you what I think it means a little later.
Some people think the first part of verse 7 means that death is
imminent. If so, it means the end for everybody could be at any
moment, and that could be true, but I don't think th ...
