"I PETER SERIES, PT. III
"A Salvation You Can Count On"
(I Peter 1:3-5)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who according to His great
mercy has caused us to be born again to a
living hope through the resurrection of
Jesus Christ from the dead,
to obtain an inheritance which is
imperishable and undefiled and will not
fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
who are protected by the power of God
through faith for a salvation ready to be
revealed in the last time.
Stewart Briscoe pointed out in one of his books that we never hear of a
seminar offered on how to build a bad attitude. We hear a lot of them
offered on how to develop a good attitude. Why is this? Because we
don't need any help in developing bad attitudes. That comes naturally.
I heard of a man who was presiding over a meeting where one critic

the chairman said to him, "Sir, you know any old donkey can kick down a
barn, but it takes a craftsman to build one. Do we have any craftsmen
here who can bring some constructive criticism?"

one. God's Word is given us to help us form right attitudes.

The Apostle Peter is giving us this scripture, I believe, to help us
develop a positive attitude. It is strictly for the believer who is
facing a difficult time in a negative world. We certainly live in a
negative world. Almost everything we read, hear and see is negative.
If you're a positive person you are very unusual in this day.
