Theme: ''Choosing to stand on the truth, when it seems so insignificant''
In this sermon we will deal with the matter of ''Truth.'' Is truth absolute or is it relative speculative, and suggestive. Does it really matter about standing on the truth when the matter seems to be so insignificant?
Is it okay to just go with the flow, can we abandon the truth when everyone else has chosen to do their own thing? Does God expect us to stand on the truth even if everyone else walks away from it? What if nobody else knows that we have bypassed the truth, does it matter then?
In this sermon we will see that Daniel and his three friends were willing to stand upon the truth, though they were over 1,600 miles away from their homeland. Daniel and his friends were taken captive Along with many other Hebrews, yet they determined to do right, regardless of the consequences.
Jdg 17:6 KJV - In those days [there was] no king in Israel, [but] every man did [that which was] right in his own eyes.
Jdg 21:25 KJV - In those days [there was] no king in Israel: every man did [that which was] right in his own eyes.
I am doing this series on ''Being Politically Incorrect'' to teach our church that there are times when our beliefs will not agree with society. The truth of God's word is perpetual and it has not changed since its inception. As believers we are to stand upon the truth, regardless of what society things about us.
