I live in a little town called Chatsworth, Georgia and our little town is still considered small town America. We have the most beautiful view of two wondrous mountains, one is Fort Mountain and the other is Grassy Mountain.
Our little town is blessed with the most beautiful natural resources one could ever ask to see, but many locals never even visit those mountains. What is so funny is if you go to Fort Mountain and ride through the camp grounds and the R.V. areas you will notice that 95% of those visiting the mountain are from Florida. In Florida they don't have mountains; they have other beautiful resources, such as the beach and the ocean.
When most of us from my area decide to take a vacation guess where we go, yes we make a beeline for good ole Florida. We have seen the view of our two mountains so often that they have lost the grandeur and the awe, but oh how we long for those beaches and those two oceans, that is until we have been there for about a week, then we are ready to see those mountains again.
In our area there is a church on every corner and literally a steeple can be viewed every other mile that you drive. Murray County, Georgia is much like every county in the south, nearly 80% of our citizens don't even attend church, nor are they even affiliated with a church.
There will be a time in many of those people's lives when the church will mean something to them. The day they begin to realize that they are lost sinners and the answer to their needs can be found in those very churches that they have driven by for years and never paid any attention to them.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is useless to a sinner, that is until he or she bec ...
