THE TOUCH THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE
Mark 5:24-34

(Mark 5:25) And a woman who had had a hemorrhage
for twelve years, and had endured much at the hands
of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and
was not helped at all, but rather had grown worse,
after hearing about Jesus, came up in the crowd behind
Him, and touched His cloak.
For she thought, "If I just touch His garments, I shall
get well."
And immediately the flow of her blood was dried up;
and she felt in her body that she was healed of her
affliction.
And immediately Jesus, perceiving in Himself that
the power proceeding from Hfim had gone forth, turned
around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My garments?"
And His disciples said to Him, "You see the multitude
pressing in on You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?"'
And lie looked around to see the woman who had done
this.
But the woman fearing and trembling, aware of what
had happened to her, came and fell down before Him, and
told Him the whole truth.
And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made
you well; go in peace, and be healed of your affliction."
The power of a touch is an absolutely marvelous thing. In fact, Robert
Burns supposedly went to the home of Sir Walter Scott when he was younger and it
is said that when Bobby Burns touched his head, Sir Walter Scott said, "That was
the touch that transformed my life."
I remember years ago, when I was first going into the ministry, I was
preaching a revival in a little Mississippi town. The pastor said, "There's a
lady I want you to meet. She's a retired missionary and one of the grandest
Christians I've ever known." So we went to visit in her home and talked for a

while. She was quite elderly, and sat in a little chair over in the corner of
the room. After we'd finished our visit and got up to go, she said ...
