John 1:6-8
We have recently started a new series called A Thrill of Hope for the Christmas season. We live in a world in desperate need of HOPE. - As believers in Christ we are proclaimers of hope.
We have something to say to the broken hearted, the broken down, the hurting, the addicted, the struggling, the worried. We can say with confidence... THERE IS HOPE! - Jesus has come and He brings hope, and it is you and I, the believers in this room, and gathered around the world that proclaim that hope that is found in Him. We are WITNESSES, we are TESTIFIERS to the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done and can do in a life.
Hey this means... this Christmas if you know someone broken hearted, broken down, hurting, addicted, struggling, worried, stressed, maxed out, worn out... you need to be sharing Jesus w/ inviting them to worship... don't waste the opportunity this season gives.

From him we learn some things about being a witness, because that is exactly what he was. He was a witness. John introduces him in John 1:6-8, and shares more about him later in the chapter and chapter 3. It's John the Baptist. - As we are making our way through John 1:1-18, let's loo ...
