1 Kings 16:29-17:1

As you know, I'm a bit of a sports fan. In particular, I'm a big fan of coaches. Most of the time, I root for the team b/c of the coach. Like when Bobby Bowden was at FSU, I was a Seminole fan. And while I've been a Clemson fan since they beat UGA back in 1981, I'm a big Dabo fan. But there has been one exception - and it was when Mark Richt was at UGA. Here's what I admired about Tom Landry. Early in his life, he realized that he was a nobody from nowhere who God wanted to make a somebody somewhere - and he never took this blessing for granted but sought only to honor God in every way to everyone.

Today I want to begin a series entitled, Unwavering, about another great man of God who too was a nobody from nowhere who God wanted to make a somebody somewhere - His name was Elijah the Tishbite from Tishbe in Gil ...
