How to Be Certain of Heaven
Richard Bradley
1 Peter 1:17-25
Everyone wants to live forever. Not a bad idea when you think about it. Most of us, however, are not too keen on living forever like we are. I'd consent to living forever if the Lord would allow me to arrange for a few changes. We could start by making me 35 or so years younger. Beyond that I might have a few other suggestions, all of which would likely be as unacceptable as an age change. That being the case, I'd just as soon go on to be with the Lord whenever He's ready for me.

This is life's most important question because the prospect of our own eventual demise is just as real as the sun coming up tomorrow. And by the way, you can be absolutely certain that when you die you'll go to heaven and live forever in that perfect body you've always craved here on earth.
From this moment until that time when the Lord calls you home you can know you're on your way to heaven. Look at how.
17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;
18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you
21 who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
23 having been born again, not of corru ...
