"THE COMING SATANIC RULER OF THE WORLD - PART II"
(Daniel 7)
Last week we looked at some of the characteristics of the coming world
ruler. As evaLgelical Christians, we do not think that this is just an illusion,
or some kind of parable, but that this will be a person incarnated by Satan,
witIl unusual and supernatural powers.
We said that this person would be a great speaker, according to Daniel
7:8,20. The Bible says that he will have great presence, according to Daniel
7:20. The Bible says he will be a tremendous politician, according to Daniel
11:21. The Bible says he will be a commercial wizard, a financial genius,
according to Daniel 8:25. The Bible teaches that he will be a military genius,
according to Daniel 7:23. We believe the Bible says he will be a great religious
leader, according to Revelation 13. In one man we're going to find epitomized
all of the traits that would make the world look to him, who seemingly has
all the answers for the coming chaos and crises in the world situation.
In Daniel 2, you will see why Daniel came to this revelation. We'll begin
in verse 31. Nebuchadnezzar has had a vision, and nobody could explain it
because this h-ad to be- spiritually discern~ed. The men who were explaining
things to him were in touch with the devil. Since the devil doesn't know of
Co)d's plan, he had to call a man of God. In verse 31 we're going to pick up
where the Bible teaches about the coming Gentile reign upon the earth, particu-
arlay in Israel.
"Thou, 0 King, sawest and beheld a great image. This great
image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before you
and the form thereof was terrible."
He's telling the king exactly what he saw. The king hadn't told him a
thing. He's just reading it back to him because God had told him.
"This image's head was of fine gold, his ...
