Open your Bibles to Hosea 8-10. We're in a series on Sunday mornings through the Book of Hosea. I'm calling this series, Boundless: God's relentless love. Hosea is preaching to the unfaithful people of God and reminding them that God has always been faithful to them. The last part of this book depicts Hosea preaching several sermons to the people of Israel.
*When you come to church each Sunday you typically come with some basic assumptions. You assume that you will be greeted by some friendly people. You assume you will see some friends and fellow Christians. You assume that there will be workers scurrying about busy with the work of ministry. You assume that there will be coffee available to help you wake up and engage. You assume that the worship music will be encouraging and will point you away from the problems, stress, and worries of your week and towards the Lord. You also assume that the Pastor will preach a sermon; a new sermon. Imagine if you will, going to a church, where for five decades, give or take a decade, you have heard the same sermon every single Sunday. Imagine your Pastor just preached about the very same thing and the very same Bible verses Sunday after Sunday with passion and conviction as if he had never preached it before. Can you imagine that?
