Don't forget: After this service we have a member's meeting. 2 motions:
1. Involves our by-laws- Everything being proposed is in the spirit of being biblical, simple, relevant, and excellent.
2. Involves funds for property updates and maintenance. - We have some deferred maintenance that needs to be done, and some updates that need to be done.
Hang around... this things are important for us as we move forward together...
Then TONIGHT AT 6 PM. - We have an Equip gathering for all volunteers. - No matter how you serve... or if you don't but you want to... come tonight. I'm going to share something I've recently learned and found helpful that I think will help us become better as a church in being a loving community that people want to be a part of. -We will have food and childcare. - PRAYER FOR MESSAGE. ?
Today, we are diving into to Romans 13 as we continue our series... All Things New.
Today we are going to look at our LIFE IN SOCIETY. - As Christ followers what responsibility do we have in this world... and to this world?
Let me ask you... what good is our faith if it doesn't make us any different than anyone else? If it doesn't make us better citizens, neighbors?
ILLUS. - Hair- I told you I had found a new shampoo that was great for transforming your hair. It will give you thicker, longer, healthier, hair... and I had been using it for 5 years. Would you buy it? NO. You'd think... Oh, that's why Pastor Josh is losing his hair! It's that!
Well, we shouldn't expect the society we live in to listen to the gospel if we don't look like it's made a difference in our lives!
If we are going to be people the proclaim the gospel... we have to be people who look like the medicine works!
