Introduction:
1. There was a young man graduating from high school. He went to his commencement and wore a button with the letters BAIK. Someone came up to him and said, ''What does BAIK stand for?'' He said, ''It means, 'Boy Am I Confused!''' They said, ''Don't you know confused doesn't start with a k?'' He said, ''You don't know how confused I am!''
2. We are living in a day and age where confusion about how to live, what is right, what is wrong, what is good, what is not is running rampant. There are more than 64 million Google results for this question, ''What should I do?'' You can't really get that answer from a search engine, but you have other options. There has been an explosion of what is called, ''advice experts'' from live-chats, to apps, to videos, to podcasts, to iTunes, and YouTube. You have what experts are now calling, ''The golden age of advice.''
3. The problem according to many experts is that social norms are now so constantly being challenged and redefined that there really is no right advice and no one right way for a given type of person to act.[1] Wouldn't it be great if you had someone you could go to that wouldn't just give you advice that might be hit or miss, but would be wisdom you could always count on?
4. Well, there is One who fills that bill and His name is Jesus. Yes, I use His first name, because as a believer we are on a first name basis and that is the title of the series that we are in, ''First Name Basis.'' Many years ago, a prophet by the name of Isaiah, had revealed to him, some names that we are to call Jesus. [Turn to Isaiah 9]. As hard as it is to believe, you can be on a first name basis with the Creator of the universe and Savior of the world and the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
