Well, this weekend on our soul safari, we're going on a hunt for something that no human being can survive without, and that is belonging. In the African Serengeti, every animal needs belonging. Every animal needs a place to belong. The lions, they have their pride. Wildebeests have their herd. Then, we have the wild dogs that have their pack. The bats have their colony. The bees have their swarm. The eagles have their flock.
Every animal in the Serengeti has a place to belong, and they need a place to belong because the animals in the Serengeti that find themselves all alone and isolated don't survive very long, and you can't survive without belonging. You are made to belong, God put within your soul a deep longing for belonging. We just don't recognize it because it gets buried so deep in our culture of isolation where we're more connected with technology than ever before, but we're more disconnected from deep and real relationships than we've ever been.
