Today is the first day of Rosh Hashanah, and it will go through Tuesday, 10/1/2019. It is more than a Jewish holiday. It is an appointed time on God's calendar. Rosh means head and Hashanah means the year. So, Rosh Hashanah marks the head of the year or the beginning of the Jewish New Year.
Pastor Lenny, I thought we are a Christian church. Why then do you bring up the Jewish New Year? Because God has a plan in the earth and God has a plan for Israel and this same God has a plan for your life. What is happening on the calendar is significant because it marks an appointed time for God to accomplish His plan in the earth, and WE ARE PART OF IT.
I am here today to declare and decree according to God's calendar and God's plan in the earth, that TODAY MARKS the passing of the OLD, and the beginning of the NEW. You are coming into a new season. That means that it is the end of one season, and the beginning of another season. It is the end of one year and the beginning of a new year!
Rosh Hashanah can be broken down into 2 days.
1. The Day of Awe.
2. The Great Wedding Feast
It is also called the Festival of Trumpets, where the shofar (ram's horn) is blown, which represents the voice of God.
So, we are now in a season of experiencing miracles from God. Jesus' first miracle took place at a wedding. We are the bride of Christ. We are being prepared for the Bridegroom's return. We will also be hearing God's voice if we take the time to listen.
I don't think that I would be talking out of school, if I address what I see happening throughout the Body of Christ and in the world today. What I see happening in the world today and even happening in the Body of Christ is a frontal assault from the enemy in the areas of sickness, many have been attacked in their marriages, and many have been attacked in their personal lives, mainly in the mind realm.
