Welcome: Good morning and welcome to OCC. I want to encourage all of you to come this afternoon to our baptism at the pool in Armstrong Park. It will be an exciting time to watch many take a step of obedience to the Father by a public demonstration of their faith thru baptism. Also, immediately following the baptism will be a pool party. Tim, Clyde and I will be modeling those fashionable swim suits that Sports Illustrated for some reason overlooked. This morning we begin a series on "Modern Plagues." Over the next few weeks we will look at what I consider to be some dangerous areas that are adversely affecting our society. Let's pray before we begin discussing PORNOGRAPHY. Prayer: Father, I want to ask you to give me a special dose of your grace this morning as we discuss a subject that is very difficult. Would you give me the ability to communicate how crucial and how critical understanding this mornings message is to each one of us here, for each of us to have a healthy life, a God honoring life. I thank you for this group of people here this morning who have the character and desire to here teaching on a subject that is so probing. Prepare our hearts and our spirits I pray.

Intro: Last summer while on vacation I was discussing with my wife possible series and message titles for the upcoming year. We talked about the need to share with our church and community some dangers that we felt were eating away at society. We came up with the subject of pornography. It seemed fairly simple last summer. After all, I'd talked to several men about the need to keep their thought life and actual life pure. How difficult could a message like this be?

How difficult could this be? Friend, I stand here before you this morning to tell you that I have never felt so oppressed in preparation for a message in my life. As I have been studying for this message I have been kicked in the stomach with the gro ...
