Here we have one of the greatest promises in the Bible - it is the promise of God's peace, peace that is beyond possible! These verses have brought hope and encouragement to millions of people. I would say that for me personally, I have relied upon these verses more than any other in the Bible. These verses are able to speak to you and meet you at your point of need today. Here is some very practical help to believers on having God's peace, peace that is beyond possible.

1. The Need for Peace (4:6a) ''Do not be anxious about anything.''
Here is a command to stop being anxious and worried about all the things that make us anxious. We are commanded to not be anxious and yet the truth is, we are anxious about many things. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus spoke about some of the things that make us anxious, the things that worry us (see Matt. 6:25-34). In that passage he gave three areas as the most common causes for anxiety, worry.

1. Our physical life in general (6:27)

2. Our everyday needs. Clothing, What We Will Wear (6:28). Food and drink, what we will eat, etc. (6:31). Think of all the things we have to do in a given week - pick up the kids from soccer practice, figure out what's for dinner, pay bills, etc.

(3) Our future, what will happen (6:34).
And these are all pretty much the same things that cause us to be anxious today. We worry about our physical life, our everyday needs, and the future. Youth worry about their relationships with their friends. S ...
