Faith is the key element of the Jesus life - and the very basis of our followship. We believe/trust so we obey/follow - that is, we put our faith into motion. We don't just talk the talk, but we also walk the walk. Faith is living by trust w/out scheming
Yet for a person's faith to be trusted; it must be tested.
Explain: Our faith is the battlefield. Satan tempts us to destroy our faith while God tests us to develop our faith - b/c a faith that can't be tested can't be trusted.
If there were ever a story to demonstrate real faith, it's the dramatic, exciting story of Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego in the fiery furnace found in Daniel 3.
If you're just joining us. We're in a series in Daniel entitled - Unbowed. The intent of this series is to encourage us to live right-side up in our upside-down, inside-out world. It's about how we can stand for truth when everyone else is falling for lies - by not living conformed to the patterns of this world, but transformed by our faith and obedience to God.

REMINDER- Judah has turned from God - so to get their attention and return their hearts to Him, God allowed the pagan nation of Babylon to destroy Jerusalem and carry off their treasures and young people to Babylon. Once there, Neb set into motion a plan to destroy Israel's future by indoctrinating their sharpest youth into the ways of Babylon by taking them thru a 3 yr training where he changed their diets, their sense of history/culture, and their names. But along the way, Neb found (4) teenage boys who'd neither bend, break, nor bow to the ways of Babylon.
As we pick up the story in Daniel 3, we need to fast-forward 15 yrs as Daniel and his buds are now young, professionals in the Neb's government - yet King Neb is still Neb - and once again pul ...
