Selected Proverbs

If you could spend ten minutes a day free of charge with a person who had a net worth of $2 trillion would you do it? Do you think you take them seriously? King Solomon, who wrote most of the thirty-one chapters of Proverbs, is not only the wisest man in human history, but also the richest man who ever lived. All it costs you and I to acquire some of his financial wisdom is time to learn and humility to obey. God's Word is powerful, but only to those who personalize and practice it.
Did you know the Bible says that God uses money to test you? God provides money to meet your needs, but He also uses it to reveal or expose your maturity level and your responsibility level. That's what Jesus said in Luke 16:11: ''If you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?'' Jesus is talking about money management. He's saying if you won't submit to God's will and authority over something as common and every day as money, you'll never submit to His will and authority in the things of eternal importance. If you can't be trusted with earthly wealth, you won't be entrusted with spiritual riches.
