Mark 4:35-5:43
Have you ever felt hopeless? Desperate? Alone? Neglected? Powerless?- Maybe you've been through something and you wonder why in the world you had to go through that. Why didn't God prevent that. Maybe you've been in a situation and you didn't feel there was anyway out. Maybe you are there this morning ... a marriage on the rocks, financial disaster, crisis of health... Quite simply there are things we go through in life that we simply don't have the answer for. There is nothing in our resources from which to pull from... we've done all we know to do... and we don't know what else to do. - In these situations we have a choice... live by faith or fear... to be changed by Christ or to run from Christ.
YOU ARE NOT THE FIRST- THE BIBLE IS FULL OF DESPERATE PEOPLE, HOPELESS, PEOPLE. IN FACT THE BIBLE IS PRETTY CLEAR WE ARE ALL HOPELESS APART FROM JESUS. BUT BESIDES OUR SPIRITUAL CONDITION WE ALL FACE SITUATIONS THAT SEEM HOPELESS... IN THE MIST OF THESE STORMS, SITUATIONS, AND CONDITIONS... JESUS WANTS US TO TRUST HIM, TO HAVE FAITH IN HIM.
