Series: The Body of Christ
Donald Cantrell
Matthew 9: 9 - 13, Luke 7: 1 - 10, Luke 8: 41 - 42, 49 - 56''

This is sermon 5 in our series on ''The Body of Christ'' and in this sermon we see that we have a sympathetic savior that truly cares and listens to the needs of those that society has abandoned and given up on, he cares about those that are abased and feels as if they are unworthy to even approach him, and he cares about those that are facing affliction and hopeless situations. As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we need to have ears that are caring ears that are compassionate, and ears that are constantly on the alert for others.

Jas 1:19 KJV - Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

I - Jesus Heard the Abandoned (Matthew 9: 9 - 13)

II - Jesus Heard the Abased (Luke 7: 1 - 10)

III - Jesus Heard the Afflicted (Luke 8: 41 - 42, 49 - 56)

This sermon contains a fully alliterated outline, with sub-points.

Theme: ''The ears of Jesus were always ready to hear''
