A major foundational aspect of the walk of the believer is the Presence of God (not just the knowledge about God on some intellectual basis).
Last week we talked about the life changing encounter with God that changed the course of the life of Moses.
Moses understood the importance of the Presence of God so much that he wouldn't move without it!
Exodus 33:14-15 (NKJV)
14And He said, ''My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.''
15Then he said to Him, ''If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.
Moses knew that what distinguished Israel from any other people group was the ongoing Presence of God.
We also talked about the wealthy woman from Shunem that ''made a room'' for Elisha (who represents the man of God, and the things of God).
Have we made ''room'' for the Presence of God in our lives?
When you make room for the Presence of God in different areas of your life, (marriage, calendar, relationships, finances, etc.), those areas will be influenced.
I want to continue this morning with the importance of pursuing the Person and Presence of God.
2 Corinthians 6:16 (NKJV)
16And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ''I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.''
There are just some amazing things that happen when we choose to pursue relationship, and pursue the Presence of God in our lives.
The truth of every relationship is that there are things that are ''added'' to our lives through those relationships.
If you are in a relationship or friendship with a praying person, they will most likely be in prayer for you. That relationship will affect you in a good way.
Relationships get ''stuff'' on you. Good and bad!
