Today we begin a new series where we are dealing with various subjects and answering the questions, ''What does the Bible say about that?'' - Easter Survey... This week we are dealing with Spiritual Warfare.

Spiritual Warfare... it's real. It's taking place right now as we are about to study God's Word, it will continue throughout the message. It takes place when your alarm clock goes off and your day begins. It's takes place at work, in your friendships, etc.

Just because something is unseen doesn't make it unreal, and ignoring it doesn't make it go away. - An invisible enemy is a dangerous enemy, and an enemy that is powerful but not taken seriously... is even more dangerous.

ILLUS.- If all the sudden the oxygen started leaving this room you and I would not see that. Everything would look the same. It would not change that oxygen was leaving the room. However, at some point we'd begin to see the effects of that. Visibly nothing could be seen, but a lot would be happening, and the danger would be REAL.

Friends, there is a real war being waged. We can't see the devil, we can't see demons, we easily forget there is a war. This however does not change reality.

Jesus came that you may have abundant life. Satan wants to destroy you. Today I want us to learn how we can spiritually thrive in the midst of very real spiritual warfare.



Eph. 6:10-13 - 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
