Zephaniah 3:14
''Sing, O daughter of Zion!?Shout, O Israel!?Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,?O daughter of Jerusalem!''
To understand this verse, one has to read the other verse to see it all in context. The Lord is never the problem; He is always our best answer. And before we read any further let us pray, ''Father, we seek Your wisdom. We seek Your guidance to understand what Your messenger is speaking. Speak to our spirits, our minds, and give us great understanding. In the name of Jesus amen.''
When you look and study this drawing what do you see? You might see Miriam's tambourine, or the crown of thorns, maybe a keyboard, and then the wings. In our scripture we see rejoicing, singing, be glad, and shout! All of these things are outward demonstrations from the depth of one's heart loving the Lord. Worship is demonstrated through overt displays of what is going on inside the human heart.
When you go through circumstances and you see the Lord's deliverance you have to express your inner gratitude by clapping, dancing, and lifting one's voice, one's arms and hands to the Lord.
Might be why we see many in the church standing very apathetic. They do not know the Lord and they do not know His salvation, His deliverance, and His power to redeem. This is why I draw during worship. Drawing before the King is the most fulfilling demonstration of my love for Jesus. Through my drawing for the Lord become the vehicle when I can hear His voice the loudest.
Yes, start singing and see what happens. In the Psalms there are 59 different verses about why one should praise, why to worship Him, and the benefit worshiping the Lord has on each of us. Yes, there is a reward for worshiping the Lord; peace, joy, love, and much more. Listen as you read these next verses:
I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, And will sing1 praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
