Christmas seasons come and go. I'm sure you have many of them under your belt like I do. Have you noticed how easily we can become blasé to the miracle of the events around the birth of Jesus? As we unpack this series in the next couple of weeks, our challenge is to get back to that place of awe and wonder of the very first Christmas.

When I think about what it means to ''Return to Wonder'' I see the responsibility we have to position ourselves.

There is a resistance[1] to posturing or positioning ourselves for the next wonder that God has in store for you and I. (If you are here this morning, you have overcome some resistance!)

This morning I want to speak on an incredible component of that positioning. I want to speak on obedience[2] .

There is a blessing in obedience that is overlooked when we are faced with the choice. Do I obey or do I NOT obey?

It's amazing the number of times that we choose ''not'' or just ignore and hope our disobedience will not be noticed!
