Psalm 90

One of the first funerals I can remember, the first death I can remember clearly is my granddad's. He died when I was 12. At that age death is weird. Its uncomfortable. It's unnatural feeling. Then when I was 16 a classmate and teammate died over summer in my hometown. This was a guy who I had grown up around, he had spent the night at my house. I had no category for someone my age... a peer dying. It felt weird, uncomfortable, unnatural. I'm 34 now... I've done funerals for a granddad, an uncle, church members, and a complete stranger. This morning I want you to get a grasp of two things from our text... a glimpse of God and a glimpse of you and I in comparison. In light of seeing God for who He is and you for who you are... how shall we live? That's what this morning is about.
