Proverbs 4:10-27
Two of the major themes in Proverbs that help us understand how to relate to wisdom are Lady Wisdom (Personification) and the path metaphor. - We are supposed to see wisdom as a person that we need a relationship with as we saw last week and we are to see it as a path we walk down.
Relationships and paths are both pictures things we can progress in. You can get to know someone better and better, as you walk down a path you head toward a destination. - So wisdom is less of an ''achievement'' and more of a journey. It's something you can grow in and something you an depart from.
Wisdom enables us to live life as God designed it... to obey Him, to apply His Word to difficult situations... to become the people God wants us to be. - We need to be a people who are journeying toward wisdom. Seeking it, applying it.
