Genesis 1:26-2:24
This morning we will enter the Garden of Eden. We will look at the creation of the first people and learn why we were created. By looking the creation of Adam and Eve we can learn something about our own lives and why God created us.
The truth is God has a purpose, a design, a plan for human life. God has not simply spun us out into the universe. We have a purpose and role in the world. As we see how God made, why he made us, and how he has wired us this morning it will help us in understanding our place in God's world and how we can recover and pursue God's plan for our life.
Let's start this morning in Genesis 2:4-25, and then we will re-read a portion from last week.
Have you ever wondered why their are two creation accounts of man? The first is the big picture, man created on day 6. The second picture is a closer look at how God did that on the 6th day. The second account give us more info, more detail. The first account gives us the fly over.

[8] And the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. [9] And out of the ground the LORD God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and th ...
