PALM SUNDAY: A PREVIEW OF COMING ATTRACTIONS

JESUS CHRIST crested the summit of the Mount of Olives riding a
donkey in one of the final scenes of His earthly drama. He was
not play-acting. This was the original cast and the prototype
production.
He came to "seek and to save" and this scenario is an essential
part of His fulfillment of that role.
This triumphant entry into Jerusalem was in effect a walk-
through of what was to happen on this stage within one week. It
involved:
I. SANCTIFICATION
Earlier in Jericho He had told His disciples He needed to go to
Jerusalem. He had been warned of the impending danger and
counseled not to go. In light of this, He insisted He must go.
As the disciples murmured among themselves about the certain
dread danger, one of the most unlikely of the disciples spoke
boldly. Thomas, whose name we rarely speak without reference to
him as "doubting Thomas," said, "Let us go and die with Him."
To be sanctified means to be set aside and designated for a
particular use. Jesus knew His purpose in coming to this hour
and continued His uncompromising sanctification.

There are some general areas of sanctification He has in
mind for all of us. Start with them and then get specific. We
want to get minute details before committing to the big picture.
In the big picture He wants you to be constructive not
