Revelation 20

INTRODUCTION: It's been said that CHURCH PEOPLE like to hear sermons from Revelation because they don't understand what it means. PREACHERS DON'T like to preach sermons from Revelation because THEY don't understand what it means.

We're doing our scripture work in the book of Revelation in a sermon series entitled ''Endgame.'' This will NOT be a study through the book of Revelation. To do that justice would require much longer than the five weeks that I'm going to devote to this series. I have selected four highlights from Revelation:. Those highlights are:

1) The ENDGAME has begun (the millennium).
2) The ENDGAME is rough (spiritual warfare).
3) The ENDGAME has a ''Ref'' - Judgment
4) THE ENDGAME ends well - Heaven (2 parts).

If you would like to do a more in-depth study of Revelation and get all of your nagging questions answered then I would recommend two commentaries: ''The End Time'' by Russell Boatman and ''More Than Conquerors'' by William Hendriksen.

Rev.16:1 ''Then I heard a mighty voice from the Temple say to the seven angels, 'Go your ways and pour out on the earth the seven bowls containing God's wrath.'''

Notice any patterns there? The book of Revelation is written in a cyclical fashion. It doesn't move in a straight line, progressively, chapter by chapter from the first century of the Christian era to the consummation of the ages.
