DO YOU HAVE A HIGH VIEW OF CHRISTIANITY?

JESUS CHRIST exposed and condemned hypocrites. The Greek word
translated "hypocrite," HUPOKRITES, was used in the theater. It
meant a play actor. It was a reference to a costumed individual
who pretended to be a character he or she wasn't in reality.
A good hypocrite could play several roles in the same play
simply by changing his or her appearance and voice.
You, like Jesus, know persons who play different roles today.
This, at times, becomes confusing and you want to plead, "Will
the real you please identify yourself?"
Such persons were and are a heartbreak and disgrace to Jesus
Christ. They are among Satan's best allies. These pretenders are
Satan's decoys. Sinners use them as an alibi. They are
insulation between the lost and Jesus. They have historically
existed and today abound -- false disciples, hypocrites, play
actors. They afford a skeptical world reason to discredit all
that is good, beautiful, and holy about Jesus Christ and many of
His devoted disciples.
Recent events have given cynics reason to rejoice and renounce
all that is associated with Christ.
The shooting at an abortion clinic in Florida, the standoff at
the compound near Waco, Texas, and other behavior inconsistent
with Christ's life and teaching, have enabled the suspicious and
critical to mock.
