JESUS CHRIST said, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he
will be saved...(John 10: 9)." What an inviting opportunity! If
you consider Him as the door in light of the following, He might
be all the more appealing.
Come with me to the world's worst party. Dennis McCallum
describes it for us in his book, Christianity, the Faith That
Makes Sense. Perhaps you have been to some parties that were
downers but this is the worst party of all.
It is a huge party attended by countless persons. There are
numerous booths, each offering a different activity or product.
You can do anything you want at this party. It is wide open.
Some booths offer various sex experiences. Some make diverse
drugs available. There is a large booth that offers a variety of
physical exercises assured to enhance your body. A popular booth
offers fat and cholesterol-free fabulous foods. A big crowd has
gathered around a booth promising insight into how to get rich
quick. There are booths offering art and music lessons. An
intriguing one is a science lab conducting research.
It is a blast. However, there is one major problem. You can only
stay a short time. You and everyone there has been infected by a
deadly virus. Everyone there is going to die within three hours
after arrival.
