The Bread of Life (1 of 7)
Series: I Am
Josh Malone
John 6:25-59

Today we are beginning a new series called “I Am.” We are going to be looking at the 7 “I am” statements of Christ in the gospel of John. --- John tells us he wrote his gospel so that we might BELIEVE. And of the of the key thing he does throughout his gospel is declare to us who Jesus is. One of the ways he does that is by recording Jesus’s I am statements.

These statements help us KNOW CHRIST better. They reveal him to us more clearly.

Today we are looking in John 6 at Jesus statement that He is the bread of life.

These statements are about who Jesus IS. – He IS the bread of life, it’s about more than what He gives, it’s about His very identity.

It is Him, more than anything we need if we are to meaning, contentment, peace, and life. – Without the bread of life, we cannot have true life. Apart from daily feasting on the bread of life we cannot thrive spiritually.

For on him God the Father has set his seal.” 28 Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of ...
